Today I’m going to share with you guys a tasty idea for a perfect breakfast!!
French toast roll-ups with a melted cheese and ham center!!
On social media, I am following this page called Foodies Of SA, that shares extraordinary, delicious, and healthy recipes that will arouse your taste buds.
South Africa is a very vibrant and colorful country with unique dishes. To top all that – our food culture, of course, is off the charts!!
This is also for the folks abroad to see what delicious foodies we can make, so enjoy!!
10 Sasko Premium white bread slices (whatever bread brand you use, we use Sasko)
Mayonnaise, for spreading
10 thin slices of ham
⅔ cup cheddar cheese, grated
2 tbsp milk
Butter, for frying
Side salad for serving
And for something extra…
Chutney and mayonnaise mixed
In wide, shallow bowl you whisk the eggs and milk altogether
Cut the crusts off the bread, being careful not to remove too much bread and use a rolling pin to flatten each slice out.
Spread a little Mayonnaise over the bread slices.
Top each slice of bread with 1 slice of ham and grated cheese. Roll it up.
Heat a large frying pan over medium heat with enough butter to generously cover the bottom.
Dip each roll-up in the egg moving it around to coat every side.
Fry the roll-ups, turning to brown on all sides.
Serve with the dipping sauce & ENJOY!
There you go!! That’s how you make a delicious roll-up!!
